Catalog > About > Packing Arcade Games

All games that we ship out are professionally packaged. We have our own pallets made that are designed solely for shipping games and spare no expense when packing our games. We include all related packing costs in the shipping cost quoted for our games. If you are considering buying your game from another source, be sure to ask about how it will be packed. We know from experience that most people do not go to this length to protect games that they ship.

First
We place the game on a custom made, plywood pallet that matches the size of the game. We wrap the game multiple times in industrial strength shrink wrap. We do this to protect all of the underlying artwork. We then add heavy-duty cardboard to the bottom corners of the game.
  Second
We add heavy-duty cardboard to the bottom edge of the game. We also add additional protection to the control panel (not shown in this picture) and secure it with additional shrink-wrap.

The cardboard helps prevent any damage by adding additional padding to areas that might be exposed.
  Third
We wrap the game with heavy-duty, half-inch bubble wrap. The game is wrapped completely, and another layer of shrink wrap is used to hold it securely.

Most people don't take this additional step when packing a game, but having additional padding makes it very difficult to damage the cabinet.
  Finally
We completely encase the game in cardboard. The shipping labels and related labels are attached as is an introductory pamphlet. The game is shrink-wrapped one final time, and it is strapped to the pallet with several heavy duty 5/8" straps (not shown) that are ratcheted down to secure the game to pallet and make it one unit.

Believe us, we've had plenty of games shipped to us, and most are not packaged this well. Nothing is more discouraging that getting that favorite game delivered -- in pieces. We take every step possible to ensure that your game will arrive safely.

Common Questions...

How Long Does Shipping Take?
Shipping takes between 3 and 5 days from the time that the game is picked up from our facility. (NOTE: we usually have a wait list for restorations, so delivery may take longer.)

What should I expect when my game is delivered?
You will get a call the day before scheduled delivery, as you will need to be home for the delivery. Delivery includes delivery to your home, but it does not include installation inside your home. If you have special delivery requirements, please be sure to tell us ahead of time.
