Donkey Kong Junior

Close to working, video not inverted, doesn't coin up
$140.00

Original Nintendo Donkey Kong Jr. arcade game boardset that is close to working, but not quite there. Note that the CPU board looks to have been modified to support a normal RGB arcade game video output (not the inverted video typically used on these boards). Looks like it was also modified so it does not require a amplifier.  The board boots up, video looks good (the video board is confirmed okay in another boardset), however the game does NOT coin-up, we have done troubleshooting.

Boardset is sold as-is with the issues described above., the CPU board is fairly clean, the Video board is a little dingy/tinged, but works fine.  The metal mounting plate is not included.

Quick Game Facts
Donkey Kong Junior

Nintendo followed up Donkey Kong with a hit sequel in 1982, Donkey Kong Junior. In the sequel, the storyline is reversed: the player plays as Donkey Kong’s son, Donkey Kong Junior and takes on Mario who portrays the enemy. The platform game contains four stages in which Junior must release his imprisoned father while avoid enemies such as snap jaws and blue birds.

Coin-Op Overview

Donkey Kong Jr. featured a cabinet similar in shape to the original, but orange instead of blue. The cabinet features side art decals depicting the game’s character in a comical scene. The game, along with its predecessor, Donkey Kong, were two of a small handful of classic games to have their own cereals made.
