Electrohome G05-805 15" Monitor

Used in minis and cocktails, untested, as-is

Original Electrohome G05-805 15" black and white vector monitor. This monitor was typically used in Atari's mini and cocktail games (Asteroids, Asteroids Deluxe and Omega Rac).  This is a complete monitor, we've had it sitting on a shelf for a few years now, so consider it needing rebuilding and/or repair.

The tube has some noticeable burn-in from Asteroids Deluxe as you can see.  All of the boards to look to be complete, a little bit dusty/dirty from sitting, but this monitor should be restorable.  See pictures for more details on its condition. Monitor is sold as-is, probably needing repair.

Shipping will probably run $40-60 due to the size and weight of monitor.

Quick Game Facts

Game play is straightforward and very fast paced after the first couple of stages. You control your space ship with one mission; survive by avoiding and destroying asteroids that fly throughout the screen and the occasional UFO that is always out to get you. In addition to your ship's blaster your ship is aided with hyperspace, which instantly transports you somewhere else on the screen.

Coin-Op Overview

Easily one of the top five most successful arcade games released and arguably Atari's most successful game. Asteroids was known to devour quarters when released. Some arcade operators we've spoken to said that they had cut a hole in the quarter box and put trash cans in the game to hold all of the money the game made when it was released.
