Space Ace

A Don Bluth release, and a follow-up to the immensible popular Dragon's Lair. In this version you play Dexter. You misson is to rescue Kim ("I'll save you Kimmy!!!") while battling Borf.

Coin-Op Overview

Don Bluth's second creation, launched right after Dragon's Lair. The game is most often found in a "conversion" cabinet as operators converted older Dragon's Lair into Space Ace. It is very difficult to find a dedicated Space Ace cabinet today.

You control Ace with a 4-way joystick and a energize/fire button. Also, at the beginning of the game you can choose from three difficulty settings. This is slightly different than the re-release of Space Ace '91 (a conversion kit). In the 1991 release, your joystick is an 8-way joystick, and the game utilizes all moves. This conversion kit was produced in low numbers for the Dragon's Lair II game.
