Short(er) Vacation and USPS Shipping Delays (7/23/21)

Headed out for a short vacation on Wednesday (7/28/21) without the kids this time:)  All orders placed while we are away will ship on Tuesday August 3, 2021. Sorry for any inconvience, making up for missed vacations last year due to Covid.

Please note that the US Post Office is still experiencing delays in delivery times. We CANNOT guarantee any USPS delivery time at this time and recommend using UPS if you have concerns about transit times.

Also we are no longer shipping to some countries (Spain, Greece, Italy to name a few).  We have had too many issues with packages not arriving and will not ship to these countries for the forseeable future.

Space Zap Amplifier

Single channel Midway amp we believe used in Space Zap
$45.00

Single channel Midway amplifier board which we believe was used in Space Zap arcade games (and possibly Extra Bases). This amplifier has been tested and works fine. Note that this particular amplifer has only one channel, we believe it is same circuit board as Gorf, but only half of its populated (we suppose you can make it two channels by installing the missing components).  Bally part #A080-90903-A000.

Picture is a sample picture as we sometimes we have more than one in stock.

Quick Game Facts
Gorf

At the time Gorf was released most vertical shooter games (such as Galaxian or Space Invaders), usually only had one level that was repeated for the entire game. Gorf was a bit different, the game features five different missions, including a Space Invaders like mission, a Laser Attack mission, a Galaxian mission, a Space Warp mission and the Flag ship mission. After defeating all five missions players are promoted in rank from Space Cadet up through Space Avenger.

Gorf was one of the first games to feature digitized speech. In the game the player is taunted by the Gorfian leader, with phrases such as, “You cannot defeat my Gorfian empire”. Another unique feature of the game is the wonderful backlighting. In addition the game marquee, the header above the monitor and the one below the control are backlit.
